

ABOUT US > Our TeamRussel H. Marvin, CEOMr. Marvin is founder and CEO of Optiwind since 2007. From 2005-2007 Mr. Marvin served as COO of MTI Micro where he led the company on a path to commercialization of fuel cells. From 2000-2004 Mr. Marvin served as Director, VP and CTO of TRC where he brought new motor and fan technology to the company, this coupled with his leadership in worldwide manufacturing initiatives brought the gross margin from 10% to 40%. From 1998 – 2000, Mr. Marvin served as VP of Engineering at Plug Power in its drive to successfully go public. Prior to this, Mr. Marvin has also been Director of Engineering for Axiohm Transaction Solutions, Inc., a Project Leader for Eastman Kodak’s Clinical Products Division and Senior Mechanical Engineer for NCR’s printer division. Mr. Marvin holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Clarkson University and a Master of Science in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. David N. Hurwitt, Vice President of MarketingMr. Hurwitt is Vice President of Marketing for Optiwind since 2008. From 2003-2008 Mr. Hurwitt served as Marketing Director for GE’s Electrical Distribution business where he successfully launched multiple large scale new products and revitalized the marketing communications process. Prior to this, he was Olympic Target Market Director for GE’s Industrial division, developing global projects for GE with the Beijing and Torino Olympic sites. From 2000-2003, Mr. Hurwitt worked at Whirlpool, where he ran the $1B washer and dryer business, then serving as Director, Global Brand Strategy and Advertising. Prior to this, Mr. Hurwitt served in marketing and P&L leadership roles with several consumer products companies, including Pillsbury. Mr. Hurwitt holds a Bachelors of Art from Principia College and an MBA from Northwestern University. Ted Chadwick, Vice President of ManufacturingMr. Chadwick is one of the founding partners and Vice President of Optiwind since 2007. Prior to joining Optiwind, Mr. Chadwick served as VP of Operations for TRC where he was responsible for introducing motor and electronics manufacturing to the company. Mr. Chadwick established and managed an international supply chain for electronics, manufactured components and tooling. From 1996 -2001 Mr. Chadwick served as a director of the Connecticut Development Authority and was a member of the Connecticut Lottery Board of Directors from 1998 thru 2002. Prior to 1996 Mr. Chadwick was the President of Asquared Industries Inc. Mr. Chadwick holds a BS degree from the University of New Haven. |
